About the event
The Lunch-In is a new national event that began to recognize Hunger Awareness Day 2011. It played off the “sit-in” idea, and invited Canadians in communities across Canada to bring their lunches to a specific location, where they could eat lunch together as a gesture of frugality and solidarity in acknowledging hunger as a problem in our country.
Lunch-Ins will occur during Hunger Awareness Week, May 7-11, 2012.
